You Don’t Have to Close Your Pool for the Winter in Florida
Let’s talk cold winter weather in Florida…Oh that’s right, there sure isn’t much! As we all know, it can certainly get chillier than what we are used to, but, for the most part, our weather is temperate year-round. The good news is that pool owners don’t need to close their pools for the winter. What this means to pool owners is more time to enjoy their pools at less cost. Yes, believe it or not…less cost!
The main purpose of winterizing a pool is to protect it from damage due to freezing water. Even if we get a cold snap, our Florida weather is not consistently cold enough to warrant closing your pool. The best news is that it is far less expensive to maintain your pool than it is to close it.
Balancing your water chemistry protects the surface of your pool from staining and etching. However, by maintaining this balance throughout the year, all you need to do is have the water tested…and SE Pools does that for free! Closing your pool is certainly more expensive than free.
So, if it is safe for your pool and it costs far less than closing your pool, why not enjoy your pool for the entire year? It’s a no brainer!
